So you can imagine all the detail and stuff. But it kinda looks like the quake engine. Outlaws uses both the 3D engine from the popular Dark Forces and Rebel Assualt II's INSANE engine. Grap hics: The graphics are aboslutly amazing, it's one of the best of it's day. There are some single historical missions you can play aswell. The story of the game is just like thought western movies. And whose life is shattered by vicious desperados who murder his wife and kidnap his daughter, leading the determined hero on an avenging, unshaven kill spree through a prairie stronghold. Gameplay: This is a first person western shooter and you play as a avenging loner name Marshal James Anderson who rides into town seeking to right the wrongs committed by a railroad tycoon and his renegade thugs. In addition to the single-player campaign, which features three difficulty settings (the good, the bad, and the ugly), Outlaws includes a shooting range, historical missions, training levels, and multiplayer support for up to eight gunslingers. Shoot out windows, jump across ledges, hole up in saloons, and solve puzzles while single-handedly eliminating the outlaws found in each environment. The types of weapons he'll use include pistols, rifles, shotguns, dynamite, a Gatling gun, knives, and his fists. Now Anderson must exact his revenge on those responsible, which means blazing a trail across nine themed levels. Anderson's "mistake" was not selling his home, and for that he paid the ultimate price: his wife was murdered, his daughter abducted, and his ranch was burned down.
